CELTIC WEDDING AT WAVENY HOUSE

Candice and Scott's Celtic wedding at Waveny House in New Canaan took place on November 3, 2012.  Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast a few days earlier leaving parts of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut devastated with impassable roads and no electricity.  Miraculously the power was restored to Waveny House on the morning of the wedding and all of their guests arrived safely.  Candice was baking red velvet cupcakes by a gas stove and flashlight the night before.  The couple are both actors and had carefully planned the details of their event with a dramatic flair.  There's nothing like a Hurricane to put everyone in a partying mood!  Happy St. Patricks Day! celtic1celtic2 Celtic Wedding at Waveny House celtic4 celtic5 celtic6 celtic7 celtic8 celtic9 celtic10 celtic12 celtic13 celtic14 celtic15 celtic16 celtic17 celtic18 celtic19 celtic20 celtic21Celtic Wedding at Waveny House celtic22 celtic23

MEXICO PART III

I shot so much film while in Mexico and I love so many of the images.   This last bunch is a variety of family sessions that were shot at the FIND workshop, scenes around Hacienda Las Trancas and personal work shot in San Miguel.  This was a great experience!   I would highly recommend  Jonathan's "Film is not dead" workshop to other photographers that have an interest in shooting film.  Hacienda Las Trancas is located about 30 minutes drive from San Miguel.  It's a gorgeous and tranquil place with helpful, friendly staff and lovely amenities.  This would be destination wedding paradise in my opinion!  Viva Mexico!trevinofamily 06JKSbrown001119-R4-E107015019017020JSbrown001119-R3-E071016021028022024023026025027

FIND MEXICO

Hello!  Glad that you made it here and welcome to the new site!  If you’ve arrived via my old blog then you already know a bit about my FIND Mexico workshop with Jonathan Canlas.  It was nothing short of fabulous and I’ve been dying to share some images from San Miguel.  So here's Mexico~Part I with more info to follow! smaller2120702 04 05

I love the colors of Mexico and I could have stayed here a lot longer then three days.  We stayed at Hacienda Las Trancas.  It is over the top gorgeous with gourmet home cooked food, a spa and horseback riding.  I took so many pictures of the horses!  We photographed models (past attendees) on the first two days and went to San Miguel de Allende to shoot personal work on the last day...sigh.  I learned so much at this workshop.  John talks about "finding your WHY" and in the exploration of that concept I also learned a lot about myself.  Finding beauty in the chaos of life and connecting with family and friends has always been my biggest motivator.  I would attend the FIND workshop again and since they are everywhere, it's like planning a vacation~easy!
